The Fog of War

I just watched The Fog of War. It was tremendous--one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. And, like David Maraniss's They Marched into Sunlight and (especially, since it dealt with The Big Picture) Barbara Tuchman's The March of Folly, this film reminds us that the number of lessons of Vietman that still resonate today are innumerable. And, to be sure, it took, well maybe not exactly Courage With a Capital C for McNamara to do this film, at least a type of courage for him to do so. And I think we're all better off for him doing it.

Of course, don't think he's not still a liar.
